Welcome to the Alpha course, believe it or not the Alpha course has been running since 1970 and began it's life in a church of England in London, when a clegyman named Charles Marnham wanted to communicate the basic principles of the Christian faith to new Christians and people wanting to find out more about the Christian faith in a relaxed and informal setting. Little did he know that from those humble beginnings and the hugh impact Nicky Gumbel has had on the course, some 37 years later it was estimated that over 5 million people have attended courses worldwide.
At Bethany we have run 9 adult Alpha courses and 2 Youth Alpha courses over the last 9 years, it is my pleasure to be able to let you know about the start of our next course which you are invited to.
The course will be run by Ian and Glenys Phillips and it is FREE to attend.
The course follows a simple and relaxed format - Cuppa when you arrive - watch a 25 minute presentation DVD - Cuppa - discussion groups (with no pressure to talk you may just want to listen)

3. How can I be sure of my faith?
4. Why and how should I pray?
5. Who is the Holy Spirit?
6. How can I resist evil?
7. Does God heal today?
8 How can I make the most of the rest of my life?
